For students: your first week on TopperBatch
Joining a class, finding your lessons, knowing what is required, and understanding how your marks appear. Share this link with a new batch.
This one is written for students. Instructors: the link is public, so you can send it to a new batch without anyone needing an account first.
Joining
Your instructor gives you a short class code. Go to the sign-up page, choose "I'm a student", and type it.
Your request goes to your instructor for approval — usually a few minutes, sometimes a day. Until they approve it, you will not see the course. That is deliberate: it stops strangers wandering into your class.
Finding your work
Your dashboard lists your courses. Open one and the sidebar has everything in it: lessons, tests and assignments, study materials, messages, your marks.
Lessons are laid out top to bottom in the order your instructor arranged them. Anything they have not finished yet is simply not there — you are never looking at a half-written page.
Required items
Some items are marked Required. They are collected in one list, and parts of the course may stay locked until you finish them.
The list always tells you exactly what is outstanding, so "what do I still have to do?" is one click, not a scroll through everything.
How marks work
- Multiple choice, true/false, matching, fill-in-the-blanks and similar are marked the moment you submit.
- Written answers, spoken answers and uploaded work wait for your instructor. They appear with feedback once graded.
- Your marksheet updates itself. You do not have to ask anyone for it.
If a test shows a time limit, the clock starts when you begin. Read the instructions before you press start.
Talking to your instructor
Messages is a private conversation between you and your teacher — nobody else in the class sees it. Announcements go to everyone. If your instructor uses the Student Diary, that is your space to write and theirs to comment on.
One habit worth building
Open the course once between classes rather than the night before a deadline. New material and new tests show up with a badge, and five minutes of looking is usually the difference between a calm week and a frantic one.
